There are 2 types of people when it comes to Sundays… . 1⃣The one who likes to PREPARE ✍? 2⃣The one who just wants to CHILL ? . Which one are you? 1 or 2? . I used to be group 2 all the way. . Therefore i was ALWAYS all over the place? . Mondays would come around and I was completely UNPREPARED and overwhelmed, because I had nothing planned out & had to rush ?through everything! . Because of this, I wasn’t making any progress at the gym either ? . Since I didn’t do ? during the weekend, I would end up either eating my weekend leftovers ? or ordering some more fast food . Not a great way to start off the week if you ask me . I used to like to wing everything in life. But once i started to get serious with my fitness ??‍♀‍ journey, i had realize that winging it just wasn’t going to cut it anymore . I won’t make any major lasting changes in life just by winging it. . I took some time for me to clean up my shit? BUT, eventually my constant routine became a habit and I started to accomplish each goal one by one . PLANNING & Meal prepping can seem complicate AF at first, but it’s actually your LIFESAVER, and could really make or break your goal for the week. . Let’s get organized ladies! ?? . ?Take your ? to the grocery store and stock up on your veggies, lean proteins, and fruits ?Get cooking! Use crock pots, instapots, and rice cookers so you can relax while things get done! ?Write down your goals, deadlines, meetings, and errands down for the week. Clearing your head helps you relax PLUS, you will be prepared and ahead! ?SCHEDULE! – plan your workouts in advance and set boundaries around them to respect your “ME” time. . I wish I knew this when I started my journey… . my progress would have been a LOT FASTER? . If you are like me ??‍♀️ and serious about your fitness goals… . ? Planning is CRUCIAL! . I used to NEVER have a plan, was literally just winging it everyday. . And guess what happened… . ?I made ZERO progress & I lost MOTIVATION . ❌If you don’t have a plan the chances of failing are high, and that is because there is no structure & direction? . Knowing you have a purpose for the day is already a GOAL? you didn’t even know you had. . I know walking into a gym for the first time is ?intimidating? . Not knowing exactly what you need to do is 10x worse!? . Let’s go over a little planning checklist ???? . ✅Plan your workouts BEFORE getting into the gym! Having an actual plan to follow makes you feel confident, saves time (no more walking around like a headless ?chicken not knowing what exercise to do next??‍♀ *been there done that myself lol ✅STRUCTURE! An organized mind is a happy mind??‍♀‍ ✅GOAL ORIENTED! When you make a plan, you are basically creating mini-goals! ✅CONFIDENCE! Knowing ?☝?what you are doing, when to do it & how to do it helps build your confidence. VERY important when it comes to fitness! . ?If I could re start my journey, i would do so many things differently . I used to: . ❌Completely cut out my favorite foods ❌Eat tiny meals 5-6x / day ❌Revolve my entire life around every little piece of food I ate ❌Didn’t eat after 7 pm . I’m here to tell you girls, that YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NOT need to do any of that!? . This is NOT realistic, and NOT something you want/can maintain LONGTERM. . Your life should not feel like you are in prison ? . What you CAN do?? . ✅Enjoy your favorite foods in MODERATION? ✅Get rid of the ALL or NOTHING mentality (we are humans!)? ✅Baby steps are the way to go! ? ✅ENJOY the process! ? ✅Experiment! ??‍? . So for example, lets say you want to go buy a pair of new sunglasses ?…. . Do you just buy the first ones you try on⁉️ . OR . Do you try on a couple until you find the right one⁉️ . Yeah I thought so too! . So why wouldn’t you do the SAME with your ?nutrition⁉️? . ??‍? EXPERIMENT, and DO NOT be afraid to see what works for you! . let’s take ME as an example??‍♀‍?? . ⚠️My husband likes KETO, but I do NOT! (I love my carbs ? ? , so why the hell would I give them up ?) . ⚠️I used to think that Intermittent fasting was stupid, but now I do it 5 x a week! I used to be so scared of skipping a meal that I literally thought I was loosing muscle if I didn’t eat protein every 3 hours? (I know it sounds crazy, but coming from a competition background it was kind of a thing?) competition girls, can anyone relate?!??‍♀ . We all have different bodies, mentalities, likes, dislikes etc . You need to find what works for YOU. . If you are READY to make changes, but not sure how to START … . ?Why Can't You Lose Weight?? . “I eat so healthy, why am I still not losing weight?! ?” . This was literally me??‍♀‍ a couple of years ago… . I thought I was doing EVERYTHING right . Prepping✅ Being consistent✅ Eating clean✅ Working out✅ . And then… ZERO ?changes . This made me COMPLETELY frustrated, and at times made me want to give ?up. . It felt like I had been doing something wrong, or my “body” was the problem. . Listen, ladies, there is nothing wrong with your bodies, BUT you could be doing something wrong for sure! . You want to know why I wasn’t losing fat? . ??CALORIE DEFICIT?? . Yup! Duh? pretty simple. . I was eating super clean, but still was in a calorie surplus.. . In order to induce fat loss, you NEED to be at a calorie deficit. PERIOD! There is absolutely no way around it! . Lots of “healthy” foods have TONS of calories, and because you assume these are “healthy” you actually end up eating more than you need to! . ‼️HEALTHY does NOT mean LOW CALORIE ‼️ #FACT . Just because you buy something at whole foods that says organic, gluten free , low carb etc doesn’t mean that you can eat as much as you want? . It doesn’t matter how nutrient-dense your diet is, if you are not eating at a calorie deficit you won’t lose any fat ❌ . And gaining weight on a “healthy diet” is VERY MUCH possible! . “Healthy foods” to watch out for ? ?? . ?Granola ?Nuts ?Nut butters (this is my problem lol ?) ?Guacamole ?Acai bowls ?Dried fruits ?Fruit juices . and the list goes on & on…. . Once I started paying attention to my portion sizes? and staying mindful of those calorie traps, I started to see ?changes… and you will too! . You can continue enjoying all your favorite foods, just be conscious of your goals, your calories, and your portions! .
